We can deliver to most hospitals in and around
Lismore. We will endeavour to have your hospital flowers delivered but some hospitals have strict policies about flower and gift basket deliveries. Check with the hospital before sending flowers to ensure they can be delivered. Many patients recovering from surgery, seriously ill or in ICU cannot receive flowers and gifts. Alternatively,
we can arrange for delivery to the recipients home when they are discharged from hospital.

Located in the Northern Rivers region of NSW on the Bruxner Highway, just 45km from Byron Bay, you’ll find the diverse and cultural city of Lismore. Lismore acts as the commercial centre for the surrounding suburbs, such as Nimbin, Eltham and Rosebank.
The Wilson River is one of the main reasons Lismore is still around today. Lismore was the furthest an ocean-going vessel could travel inland. The river provided access for ships to remove Red Cedar that had been cut from the large forest in the area, known as ‘The Big Scrub’. As the landscape became stripped of the Cedar, the timber-getters moved further west and the land was used as pastoral runs. These runs lasted for about a year, until the sub-tropical climate became unsuitable for stock animals, especially sheep. In 1845 a Scottish couple, Jane and William Wilson, used the bare land along the pastoral run to establish Lismore Station. While the Station no longer stands, the Wilson family were commemorated in 1976, when the northern arm of Richmond River was renamed as Wilson River.
By the end of the 19th Century, most of the forests had been cleared and the surrounding swamp lands had been drained. This enabled small villages and towns to develop around the township of Lismore. Due to its location, Lismore grew rapidly because of river trade. By the 1890’s Lismore was linked to Byron Bay by the railway system. The railway system allowed Lismore to grow even larger and become the regional centre of the Northern Rivers region. In 1946 the town of Lismore was proclaimed a city.
Lismore has a humid sub-tropical climate and experiences mild to warm temperatures all year round. The region receives most of its rain during the period between December and May, and sometimes this rainfall can lead to flooding in the area. The Wilsons River Levy Bank does protect the city centre from flooding a majority of the time, however flooding occurs in the area on average once every 20 years.
Lismore is a great place for sporting enthusiasts as the town is home to dozens of sporting fields, tennis courts, horse and greyhound racing tracks, large gymnasiums and also the largest Speedway Circuit in the region. Lismore has been home to many sporting greats. Those who called Lismore home included Rugby League player Nigel Roy, who was born in Lismore in 1974, Rugby League Coach and player Tony Smith, and NRL player David Mead. Cricketer Adam Gilchrist moved to Lismore at the age of 13 and whilst living in Lismore he captained his high school cricket team. Also born in Lismore was Socceroo Craig Foster, who was born in 1969.
